HBO's Confederate isn't dead yet

HBO programming president Casey Bloys said the controversial alternate history drama from Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss remains in development, even though they're going to be busy working on creating a new Star Wars trilogy. “There’s no change,” Bloys told TVLine. “They haven’t written anything. (They) still have to finish digital effects work on (Game of Thrones‘ final season)… and they obviously now have the Star Wars movie. But at a certain point they’ll tell us when they are ready.”
