Former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp recently reflected on her ongoing battle with cancer. The media personality took to her Instagram on Monday, April 28, 2025, to share an emotional post showing her surgery scars and feeling "peace" as she goes through her journey.

In Monday's post, Mellencamp explained it had been seventy-six days since she went to the ER with "unbearable headaches." Doctors found multiple stage 4 tumors the size of "plums" in her brain and lungs that had been there for "six months to a year."

Continuing to address her battle since, she shared a picture showing the scars from her brain surgery, writing:

"When I first looked at this picture, at the scars on my head and my arm, I cried. Then, I felt a warmness rush through my body and felt so much peace."

Mellencamp, who has been dealing with melanoma since 2022, continued:

"Peace from the incredible support system I have in my family and friends. Peace from the outpouring of love from y’all on here. Peace in knowing my story could help somebody save their life."

"Very grateful to this fighter body of mine" — Teddi Mellencamp on her cancer scars being a reflection of what she can "overcome"

Teddi Mellencamp first revealed her diagnosis in an Instagram post shared in February 2025. At the time, she explained that she had been dealing with "severe and debilitating headaches" for weeks, which prompted a visit to the hospital. There, she learned her melanoma had metastasized to her brain and lungs.

In Monday's Instagram post, the RHOBH alum noted that since then she's had "multiple surgeries," adding that she even "rag(ed)" due to the "steroids." Elaborating on the roller coaster of emotions, she wrote:

"Since that day, I have had multiple surgeries, had rage from the steroids, felt very sick, laughed a ton, ridden horses, loved on my kids and felt great."

The podcast host continued to urge her followers to "advocate for (them)selves" and get "checked" if they felt something wasn't right.

Teddi Mellencamp continued the self-reflection in her Instagram stories as she prepared for her upcoming red carpet appearance at the An Unforgettable Evening 2025 Gala in Los Angeles. Sharing a selfie, the television personality wrote:

"Seeing my scars on my back and head make me cry but also remind me of all the things we can overcome. Very grateful to this fighter body of mine."

The update comes just days after Teddi Mellencamp announced her scans revealed the tumors had either "shrunk or disappeared." In a video IG update (April 23), the personality elaborated that the doctors believed her treatment "(would) work" and she would be "back to (herself) and feeling good." At the time, she noted she had two more immunotherapy sessions remaining.

Talking to Access Hollywood during the An Unforgettable Evening 2025 red carpet, Mellencamp revealed she "almost didn't believe" when her doctor told her the tumors had shrunk or disappeared.

"When (my doctor) walked into the room and had this big smile on his face, I was like, ‘Listen, if you’re not about to share good news, and you’re this happy, you’re going to need to do a reentrance."

Elsewhere during her conversation, she expressed her gratitude to Kyle Richards and other RHOBH members for their support.

In the weeks since her diagnosis and surgery, Teddi Mellencamp has frequently updated her followers on the ups and downs of her journey. Earlier this month, she shared a candid post on having "one of those days." She explained that focusing on staying strong, she forgot to allow herself to "be sad, cry it out, and feel very alone."

No other updates have been observed.
