A May 1958 episode of the CBS Western TV series Trackdown, starring Robert Culp as a Texas Ranger, featured a conman character named "Walter Trump." “I bring you a message, a message few of you will be able to believe. A message of great importance," said the Trump character, played by Lawrence Dobkin. "A message I alone was able to read in the fires of the universe,” faux Trump says. “And at midnight tonight, without my help and knowledge, every one of you will be dead.” Snopes originally found the clip, and critics of President Trump called the clip the ultimate case of life imitating art.
