The December 1, 2013 60 Minutes segment generated a lot of attention with Amazon's plan to create the technology to have drones delivery within "four or five years." The Associated Press decided to do a follow-up, noting that Amazon has a "blown deadline" on its promise. Gizmodo's Matt Novak adds: "Amazon’s failure to make drone delivery a reality is a great reminder that PR promises from big tech companies are often not worth very much. And frankly, it’s also an opportunity to be thankful that Amazon isn’t yet buzzing drones over our heads like it owns the skies."
