A Twitter joke fooled some users into thinking MSNBC used footage of World War Z in George Floyd protest coverage

Over the past day, a joke image and video clip has spread around Twitter that appeared to show MSNBC using footage from the 2013 Brad Pitt film in its coverage of the weekend's protests over Floyd's killing. The joke got so out of hand that an NBC Universal spokesperson had to respond. "To confirm, the posts are fake," the spokesperson said in an email to The Verge.
