With PBS set to premiere Ken Burns and Lynn Novick's documentary Hemingway on Monday, The Wrap reports that Mariel Hemingway, granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, and producer Mike Medavoy are teaming on a limited series on the iconic writer's life. According to The Wrap, "the series will explore the famous writer’s life as often fictionalized in classic novels like A Farewell to Arms and The Sun Also Rises, and will also delve into the unexplored psychological trauma that haunted him until he took his own life in 1961. Stephen Leeds and Mark Chambers penned the pilot script and will also executive produce the project, which is not yet set up at a network or streamer." This is not Mariel Hemingway's first attempt at an Ernest Hemingway series. In 2019, she teamed with Village Roadshow to bring her grandfather's memoir A Moveable Feast to the small screen.
