ABC orders a pilot for Dark Horse, a remake of Rachel Griffiths Australian political drama Total Control

The Path creator Jessica Goldberg is teaming with William Jehu Garroutte on the remake based on the 2019 Australian political drama Total Control, which Six Feet Under alum Griffiths co-created and starred in as Australia's prime minister. Dark Horse follows Alex Irving, "a passionate Indigenous woman, on her unconventional journey into politics," per Deadline. "As Alex reckons with her own troubled past, she juggles obligations to her family, to her culture, and to a political system that’s never seen anybody quite like her."
