ABC orders pilot for Lee Daniels' and Michael Strahan's Cupcake Men, inspired by NFL players-turned-cupcake store owners

Cupcake Men is based on NFL players Michael Griffin and Brian Orapko, former teammates who opened a cupcake shop in Austin. Their cupcake shop was featured in Microsoft Surface commercials last year. Daniels will serve as producers, with Owen Smith writing the story about three brothers who open a brick-and-mortar cupcake shop.
