Actress Olivia Cole, who won an Emmy for Roots, dies at 75

Cole won the best supporting actress Emmy for her portrayal of Matilda, the wife of Ben Vereen's Chicken George on the ABC miniseries. She also starred on the 1989 NBC miniseries Backstairs at the White House and ABC’s 1989 miniseries The Women of Brewster Place with Oprah Winfrey.
