Baldwin didn't speak to reporters following his release from the NYPD's 10th Precinct after his arrest for allegedly punching a man in a parking dispute. An NYPD spokesperson said Baldwin was given a desk appearance ticket, meaning he will go before a judge on the charges at a later date. Baldwin tweeted about his arrest, denying reports he punched a man. "Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today’s story," he tweeted. "However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false. I wanted to go on the record stating as much. I realize that it has become a sport to tag people w as many negative... negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment." In another tweet, Baldwin added: "Fortunately, no matter how reverberating the echos, it doesn’t make the statements true."
