The Jeopardy! host says doctors told him he is in "near remission" following treatment for his stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which was diagnosed three months ago. “It’s kind of mind-boggling,” the 78-year-old tells People of the cancer that has a 9% survival rate. Trebek says has been responding very well to chemotherapy. “The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory…some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent," Trebek said. Less than three weeks ago, CBS Sunday Morning aired an interview with Trebek describing his struggles with pancreatic cancer treatment. “This got really bad. I was on the floor writhing in pain," he said to Jane Pauley.
