The Oscar-winning actress is teaming with Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter and MGM/UA Television on an anthology series based on Frederick Knott's 1952 play, which was famously adapted as the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock movie of the same name. Vikander will serve as executive producer and is being eyed to star on the series that will tell the story from a female perspective. Dial M for Murder would mark her first regular American TV role. Winter will write the series with his HBO Vinyl colleague Michael Mitnick, who created the new take on Dial M for Murder.
