Anika Noni Rose will play a famous boxing trainer in TNT pilot Beast Mode

The Tony-winning actress will portray a character based on legendary boxer and trainer Ann Wolfe, who is known for unconventional methods and a fiercely combative style. Rose's character, who won't be named after Wolfe, pulls herself up from poverty, abuse, homelessness and criminality to become a successful fighter and trainer.
