Apple has given a straight-to-series order on an untitled series that “explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended.” Moore, who successfully created the Battlestar Galactica reboot of the 2000s, will go back to his space roots after working on Starz’s Outlander. Moore’s space drama experience also includes Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager. This is the third scripted series Apple has ordered, following the Jennifer Aniston-Reese Witherspoon morning show series and the Amazing Stories reboot.
