Apple announced this morning that its new streaming TV service is slated to launch this fall in more than 100 countries, but it didn't reveal an exact release date or whether the service would cost any money. Apple's upfronts-like presentation featured many of the big names it had signed, from Steven Spielberg to Oprah Winfrey to Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Apple TV+ will be part of Apple's new Apple TV app, which will allow viewers to bring together cable channels and streaming services like HBO, Hulu, Cinemax and Showtime and cable service providers like Spectrum and DirecTV all in one place. “TV is more than just entertainment, it’s cultural,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said Monday at a presentation at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. “TV at its best enriches our lives and we can share it with people we love.”
