The sale comes 13 months after the young female-skewing website generated headlines by publishing a story about an anonymous young woman titled, “I Went on a Date With Aziz Ansari. It Turned Into the Worst Night of My Life.” According to The Wrap, Babe.net's parent company, Tab Media, is “seeking a new owner who can take advantage of its large distribution, strong brand and reputation.”
