Michael Straczynski wrote on his Patreon, according to The Mary Sue. But Straczynski added that The CW president Mark Pedowitz is a longtime fan and supporter of Babylon 5. And Pedowitz decided to roll Babylon 5's pilot script until next season because The CW's future is currently in flux.
