One day after her testimony asking the court to remove her from a 13-year conservatorship, Spears took to Instagram to apologize for making her life seem "to look and be pretty amazing." She added: "I’m bringing this to peoples attention because I don’t want people to think my life is perfect because IT’S DEFINITELY NOT AT ALL … and if you have read anything about me in the news this week...you obviously really know now it’s not !!!!" Spears wrote that she misled her followers "because of my pride and I was embarrassed to share what happened to me." She went on to explain that pretending she was okay “helped” her cope as she struggled to fight the conservatorship agreement under her father Jamie Spears.
