The Joss Whedon trio of Buffy, Angel and Firefly -- released, respectively, last Friday, Saturday and Sunday -- combined for 949,000 views. Nearly half the total was for Buffy's first episode. "So, not really a slay," says Todd Spangler, pointing to Facebook's 185 million daily active users. "However you look at it, those aren’t the kind of TV-level numbers that Facebook execs have hoped for with the Watch strategy." Facebook users also didn't engage much with the three shows, even though the social network rolled them out with a "Watch Party" strategy.
