While The Amazing Race's 32nd season finished filming at the end of 2018 and is scheduled to premiere this fall, filming on Season 33 had to be cut short in March due to the coronavirus shutdown. Meanwhile, Survivor postponed production on Season 41 in March when the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. "In terms of Survivor and The Amazing Race, we’ll get those into production as soon as we can safely get back into production," said CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl. "That’s going to be a little more complicated because we literally have to navigate some international waters." Despite Survivor's uncertainty, CBS is still "hopeful" it can air this fall.
