CBS developing a Black Girl Magic-themed comedy from The Lonely Island

Former Mindy Project writer Meredith Dawson is teaming with Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone on Black Magic, a comedy inspired by the phrase Black Girl Magic. According to Deadline, in Black Magic, "the power dynamic in a family of overachievers is upended when the runt of the family discovers a new talent. The thing that will challenge them and also bring them together is her Black Girl Magic."
