The White House press secretary suspended the CNN White House chief correspondent's access Wednesday night, accusing him of "placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern" when she tried to grab the mic out of his hand during President Trump's press conference. CNN shot back, saying the revocation "was done in retaliation for his challenging questions at today's press conference, In an explanation, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders lied." CNN then provided video of the intern trying to grab the mic "for the world to see." Sanders responded by producing a distorted video of the incident that was similar to one posted by Infowars. "We will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior clearly documented in this video," Huckabee tweeted. CNN White House producer Allie Malloy tweeted that Sanders' version of events "is a complete lie. The woman grabbed Jim's arm repeatedly. He never once touched her. In fact at one point @Acosta tells her politely 'pardon me, mam' as she's yanking on his arm." Acosta also received the backing of Reuters reporter Jeff Mason, who was sitting next to him.
