Chris Cuomo's private texts reveal how he tried to run interference for his brother, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, amid sexual misconduct scandal

In newly released transcripts of text conversations with the former New York governor's staff, the CNN anchor asks to “please let me help with the prep” in his brother's PR strategy in countering sexual misconduct allegations. Cuomo previously told his CNN viewers that he wasn’t an adviser to his older brother, he was there to “listen and offer my take.” Cuomo also confirmed he deletes emails and texts as soon as he reads them, for security purposes. In testimony for the investigation, the CNN host claimed that he, through the friend, implored Baldwin not to get involved. "I know Alec Baldwin," said Cuomo. "So does Andrew. I have a very good friend who is named here, who called me said, 'Alec wants to talk about cancel culture or political correctness.” I asked him not to. I said, “Tell him to stay out of it. It’s not necessary.' He said, 'Well, he’s going to do it. And I think it’s a good idea for him to do it. He wants to talk about these things.'" UPDATE: It looks like CNN will finally investigate Chris Cuomo.
