In an interview with Bevy Smith's Bevelations SiriusXM radio show, Harrison pointed to the strides in diversity The Bachelor franchise has made, but admitted it still had a long way to go in turning "around a big boat." Asked if the franchise would ever do a race-specific spinoff, Harrison responded that he hopes to "find that sweet spot in the middle" where all are represented on-screen. "I don't know if that's kind of what happens," he said. "In this country right now with politics and everything else is the pendulum swings so far from one side to the next, and I don't know if the answer is to go all the way to the opposite side to where then the other side doesn't feel represented."
