"I hope they will stick with me and stick with the show," the actor said in a lengthy statement posted to Instagram this afternoon following reports the show may be canceled or he may be recast over his behavior. Crawford explained what he described as two incidents that resulted in him being reprimanded, including the second one that happened a few weeks ago for an episode he was directing in which an actor was hit by a piece of shrapnel. "The first reprimand," he said, "was because I reacted with anger over working conditions that did not feel safe or conducive to good work under the leadership of a guest director and assistant director, who, in turn, were angry at my response." Crawford added: "I apologize to all the crew and cast for any negative attention ‘Lethal Weapon’ is receiving because of these incidents. I take great pride in treating everyone in life with dignity and kindness."
