Clayne Crawford dropped from Lethal Weapon as producers seek an actor to replace him

Tonight's Lethal Weapon Season 2 finale will mark Crawford's last appearance on the Fox series as producers have decided that he won't be back if Fox renews the on-the-bubble show for a third season. According to TV Line, "Fox and its studio partner Warner Bros. are actively searching for an actor to replace the embattled actor in the role of Martin Riggs. The outcome of the 11th hour recasting effort will largely determine whether Fox renews the series for Season 3." Crawford's ouster comes two weeks after reports that he had “been disciplined several times over complaints of emotional abuse and creating a hostile environment." According to The Hollywood Reporter, "multiple actors have had the offer to take over the role for a potential third-season and have passed as the process continues ahead of Fox's upfront presentation to Madison Avenue ad buyers Monday." Neither Warner Bros. TV nor Fox has commented on Crawford's status.
