Club MTV is being revived for a one-night coronavirus quarantine music special

DJ Derrick “D-Nice” Jones will host the Club MTV special on MTV from his home on Saturday night. Club MTV was originally hosted by Downtown Julie Brown, airing from 1987 to 1992. Proceeds of the special, which will be simulcast on VH1 and MTV2, will go to the music education nonprofit Save the Music Foundation.
