Comedy Central signs Roy Wood Jr. to first-look deal, orders pilot for his and Aaron McGruder's Jefferson County: Probation

Under his new deal, The Daily Show correspondent will star in a third standup special and a digital series titled The Night Pigeon, as well as produce new projects for the cable neetwork. Separately, Comedy Central has ordered a pilot for Jefferson County: Probation set in Wood's hometown of Birmingham, Alabama that Wood is co-writing with McGruder, with Trevor Noah producing.
