Cruel Summer's Olivia Holt had no idea what a Walkman was when she signed up for the 1990s-set Freeform thriller series

The actress, who was born in 1997, said she had to immerse herself in the culture of the 1990s for the period drama. "Some of it was very foreign to me," she says. "I had no idea what a Walkman was. My character has a Walkman on the show, and I had to have (the) props (team) teach me how to use it. I was like, 'I don't know what this is nor do I know how to use this thing.'"
