The Handmaid's Tale's Ever Carradine started a Twitter thread asking fellow actors what roles they've lost out on, pointing out that she tested three or four times for Grace on Will & Grace. Woodside responded that Grey's Dr. Derek Shepard role was between him and Dempsey. "Broke my heart to lose that one. But he was AMAZING," Woodside tweeted. "And Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds. I got it. Passed on it. Twice. To do a pilot that never went anywhere. Shemar was also AMAZING." Meanwhile, Merrin Dungey responded she's lost many roles to Yvette Nicole Brown, including Disney+'s Big Shot.
