The SNL announcer explained on Twitter Sunday why he called Mulaney "John Mulvaney" not once but twice: "I was trying to adjust a cue card/plug my show @ImprovKCMO and clearly I am no good at multi tasking," Hammond tweeted. "I really made a dumb mistake and I am sincerely sorry." Mulaney responded: "No apology necessary Darrell. I thought it was hilarious and am only bummed I didn’t think to ask you to do it on purpose." Hammond also posted a clip of himself getting Mulaney's name right during dress rehearsal.
