David Chang pays tribute to celebrity chef and Ugly Delicious guest-star Floyd Cardoz following his death from coronavirus

On March 8, Cardoz posted an image on Instagram of him and Aziz Ansari filming Season 2 of Chang's Netflix docuseries in India. "Thanks @davidchang for letting us crash this party!" the Season 3 Top Chef Masters winner, who died Wednesday, captioned the photo. Chang paid tribute to Cardoz in a lengthy Twitter thread. "People may not realize it, but so much of the food you eat today was influenced by Floyd when he was the cdc at Lespinasse with the late chef Grey Kunz. The family tree that branched out of that hall of fame kitchen changed gastronomy in America for the better," Chang tweeted. "But as great as a chef as Floyd was, he was a better person and amazing dad. I will miss you so much Floyd."
