The BBC and PBS co-production was able to begin filming this week on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe by testing the cast and crew 72 hours before flying to the island and testing them again upon arrival. Testing will also be repeated before each block of filming. Death in Paradise also employs a COVID-19 supervisor who will serve as an "enforcer" who makes sure the safety protocols are being implemented correctly.
