CBS announced it is merging its national news division with its its local TV stations, naming former Hearst executive and former 60 Minutes producer Neeraj Khemlani and ABC Owned Stations chief McMahon as co-presidents of CBS News and CBS TV Stations. The move makes Khemlani the first Asian-American to lead a broadcast news division. Zirinsky, who became CBS News president less than two years ago, will stay in her role until her successors take over.
