Disney is shutting down FX+ subscription service

The ad-free $5.99 monthly subscription service FX+ will be shut down after Aug. 20 -- less than a year after its debut last September. A notice to subscribers says: “There is no need to cancel your subscription. If you subscribe through your TV provider, your TV provider will discontinue billing you for the service."
