Earth to Ned revolves around a blue-skinned alien named Ned and his "lieutenant" Cornelius, who end up becoming obsessed with popular culture after they were sent to Earth to scout for a coming invasion, according to The Hollywood Reporter. So obsessed are they with pop-culture that they've created a talk show on the bridge of their spaceship where they inteview Earth's "most precious commodity" -- real-life celebrities. Earth to Ned will also feature their artificial intelligence BETI and army of "Clods" (cloned living objects of destruction). The announcement for Earth to Ned comes one month after Disney+ scrapped a Muppets revival. "Disney has a long history of giving audiences a glimpse at faraway lands and bringing new talent into the spotlight. We believe Ned is next in line,” said Dan Silver, vice president of unscripted originals at Disney+. “We’re lucky to have the talents of the Jim Henson Co. and the folks at Marwar Junction Productions helping Ned, Cornelius, BETI and the Clods to execute and fully realize their vision. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank Ned for promising to entertain us, rather than destroy us all."
