Doug Ellin says on an upcoming episodes of his podcast Hollywood Wayz, which Radar Online previewed, that he had planned to make a show about hedge fund managers and enlisted Rounders writers David Levien and Brian Koppelman. Ellin says HBO ultimately passed on the series. Afterwards, Ellin says he met New York Times financial reporter Andrew Ross Sorkin, who also wanted to make a show about hedge funds. Ellin claims he introduced Sorkin to Levien and Koppelman. Sorkin, Leviin and Koppelman ended up co-creating Billions and, Ellin alleges, they blew him off and he never heard from the trio again. That's why he wants the Billions creators to "burn in hell."
