The 82-year-old Oscar-winning actor won't return to his key role as Nebula Award–winning head writer C.W. Longbottom, the show's studio Lionsgate said in a statement to Vanity Fair. “F. Murray Abraham will not be returning to season three of Mythic Quest," said a spokesperson. "Beyond that, we do not comment on matters concerning personnel.” Mythic Quest co-creator Rob McElhenney and Apple TV+ would not elaborate on Abraham's exit, referring to Lionsgate's comment. A representative for the actor did not immediately respond to Vanity Fair's calls for comment. Last year, Abraham told Vanity Fair he considered his time on Mythic Quest a "special gift." “I’ve done a whole lot of work and there are certain things I look for," he said. "One of it is community. To find that kind of connection and humanity is so hard because it’s so segmented.”
