For the first time, The Daily Show is submitting its correspondents in the comedy guest actor and guest actress categories

Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Roy Wood Jr. and Jaboukie Young-White will compete for comedy guest actor nominations, while Desi Lydic and Dulcé Sloan will vie for comedy guest actress. "It might seem unusual to submit that group as 'guest' performers, given that they’re permanent members of The Daily Show team," says Michael Schneider. "But because they’re all only seen occasionally on the show, not every night, they fit the guidelines." Since they appear in less than 50% of the episodes, the television academy considers the correspondents guest performers.
