Former Pop TV president Schwartz, known for developing Schitt's Creek and picking up Netflix's One Day at a Time, was hired last month as Audible's chief creative officer. But Audible employees found a February 2018 lawsuit filed by one of Pop TV's sales vice presidents, according to Bloomberg News. Although Schwartz wasn't named in the lawsuit, it revealed allegations that Schwartz demeaned a female sales executive after she objected to his “Pop Puts Out" press release headline. He was also accused of yelling out, “I may or may not have slept with her in college!” in reference to a keynote speaker at a national women’s empowerment conference. While the lawsuit was later withdrawn, the accusations against Schwartz led Audible executives to reconsider keeping Schwartz on as chief creative officer.
