Fox News reportedly killed a story about Stormy Daniels before the election to protect Donald Trump

The New Yorker published a story this morning by Jane Mayer detailing the close relationship between Fox News and Trump. The story recounts how a FoxNews.com reporter Diana Falzone had "obtained proof" of Trump's affair with Daniels shortly before the 2016 election.  But according to Mayer's article, a Fox News executive told her, “Good reporting, kiddo. But Rupert wants Donald Trump to win. So just let it go,” referring to Rupert Murdoch. ALSO: Trump tried to use the AT&T-Time Warner merger to punish CNN.
