"The news I have tonight is not transactional news, not a player getting traded or signed," Glazer tweeted Wednesday morning in promoting his little-watched FS1 show Fox Football Now. "Woke up to seeing y’all going ape-you-know-what guessing what it is. It’s not what you think. Fox Football Now tonight 11 ET/ 8 PT after race." That news ended up being that Los Angeles Rams center Brian Allen tested positive for the coronavirus and had nearly recovered. As USA Today's Andrew Joseph notes: "Though it’s significant that Allen was the first known active NFL player to test positive for the virus, Glazer’s handling of the news was beyond suspect. He treated a global pandemic as a tool to boost ratings for a show and seemingly expected the news to equate to Rudy Gobert’s coronavirus diagnosis. It didn’t, though."
