The longtime NFL on Fox play-by-play announcer and longtime voice of the Reds calling the Major League Baseball's team's second game of a doubleheader Wednesday when he was caught on hot mic referring to an unidentified city as "one of the f*g capitals of the world.” Brennaman soon apologized, saying: "I made a comment tonight that I am deeply ashamed of. I am so very, very sorry. I pride myself and think of myself as a man of faith. I don’t know if I’ll be putting on this headset again. That is not who I am and never has been. I’d like to think I have some people that can back that up. I am very sorry and I beg your forgiveness.” After apologizing, Brennaman's colleague Jim Day took over play-by-play duties. UPDATE: Fox Sports has yet to comment, but the Cincinnati Reds have suspended him.
