Although Liddy was best known as a conservative talk radio host after his four-year-plus prison stint for the Watergate burglary, he guest-starred in a number of TV shows. His credits include Airwolf, two episodes of Miami Vice, MacGyver, The Highwayman, Super Force, Al Franken's Lateline and Perry Mason: The Case of the Telltale Talk Show Host. In 1997, he sat down on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. In a 2019 tweet, Andy Richter recalled his bad memories of that interview. "Don Rickles and G Gordon Liddy!" Richter tweeted. "I remember the Liddy interview, because he was possibly the most unlikable guest we ever had. Felt like sitting next to evil, even though Don was the one sitting next to him."
