NBC confirms to Variety that Union and Hough will not be back in 2020 after replacing longtime judges Heidi Klum and Mel B earlier this year. The shakeup comes after Season 14 saw its finale viewership plummet 29% from Season 13's finale, finishing at a season finale low for the long-running reality competition. Season 14 was still the highest-rated summer show in the key 18-49 demo. Judges Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel are returning for Season 15, as well as host Terry Crews. Union and Hough's exit may have been foreshadowed by NBC's announcement two months ago that Klum would be returning as a judge on America's Got Talent: The Champions, with Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon replacing Mel B.
