Game of Thrones alum Bryan Cogman to consult on Amazon's Lord of the Rings series

Cogman, considered by George R.R. Martin as the "third head of the Game of Thrones dragon" with D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, signed an overall deal with Amazon in September. Cogman, who was one of Game of Thrones' first hires, will lend his expertise to showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay.
