Resident Evil's Paul W. S. Anderson is on board to direct Miramax Television's TV series reboot of the 1997 cult horror sci-fi thriller Mimic that starred Mira Sorvino, Jeremy Northam and Josh Brolin. Former Hannibal and Orange Is the New Black producer Jim Danger Gray will serve as writer of the adaptation and showrunner. Mimic is based on Donald A. Wollheim’s short story of the same name, revolving around genetically engineered insects who evolve, developing the ability to mimic their human prey, and the race to stop them from taking over.
