HBO gives a series order to 1980s Los Angeles Lakers drama series

The Adam McKay-produced untitled pilot based on the 1980s Showtime Lakers starring John C. Reilly, Jason Clarke and Gaby Hoffman has been picked up to series. The Lakers series is based on Jeff Pearlman's book Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s.
