Hannah Gadsby's detractors accused Nanette of being a TED Talk -- now she's delivered an actual TED Talk on "How I broke comedy"

Some in the comedy community said Gadsby Netflix special wasn't really comedy, it was a TED Talk. "So many people said Hannah Gadsby’s comedy was actually a Ted Talk that she apparently decided to just go ahead and do a Ted Talk," says comedy critic Jason Zinoman of Gadsby's TED Talk titled How I broke comedy. Zinoman adds: "Odd thing is HG seems to now agree with her critics, that she didn’t do comedy. They actually share the idea that comedy is this narrow, rigid thing. I disagree with both of them, but happy they found common ground!"
