During a recent "Deep Cuts" of his Patriot Act show, Minhaj recalled his parents being upset with him for correcting Ellen for mispronouncing his name earlier this year. Minhaj recalled deciding to speak out while in front of her audience, “I looked in the audience … and (my mom) kind of cringed,” he said. “And I was like, ‘Dude, what am I doing?’ I have a show with my f*cking name on it and I’m still being like, ‘It’s with Sean!'”
